Art Walk – Art Reception – Martha J Dodd in this Friday at the Arts for Act Gallery in downtown Fort Myers, Florida.
Martha J Dodd has been busy this year working on new works of art for the gallery that benefits the Abuse Treatment and Counseling Center of Fort Myers, called Arts for ACT. ACT benefits women and children who are victims of abuse, and provides shelter and counseling for those in need. The Arts for ACT Gallery not only features Martha Dodd’s work, but has jewelry and other unique items for sale. Arts for Act Gallery is located at 2265 1st Street, Fort Myers, Florida. Martha Dodd’s work includes oil paintings of horses, birds, mermaids, beach, and people. Martha’s focus shifts from realism to fantasy, and combines the two with the skills she learned as a mural painter. Martha continues to create custom murals for her clients, and her reception would be an excellent time to get to know her and plan future projects. Art Walk is an ongoing monthly event held the first Friday of each month, and Martha Dodd’s art reception will be held during this event from 7:00 -10:00 pm. January 6th 2017. If you haven’t visited downtown Fort Myers lately, you owe yourself a visit, as new restaurants and businesses are popping up.
Can’t make the event? Martha Dodd’s work, as well as artist Cynthia Egan’s art, will continue to be displayed until January 30th, 2017. Art prints will be available as well, unframed.
